O události

Ave Maria is the name of the program, which will be presented at the beginning of December by a pair of extraordinary ladies, mezzo-soprano Martina Kociánová and harpist Kateřina Englichová, at the Zlín Congress Center.

Their show will offer a varied selection of well-known and rarely performed arias and songs, which will take listeners to the period of musical baroque and classicism.

The two charming performers, who belong to the expressive figures of the Czech music scene, will perform mainly compositions by authors from the period of musical baroque and classicism. The concert will feature beautiful arias and canons by Antonio Vivaldi, Giovanni Bononcini, Giuseppe Scarlatti or Georg Friedrich Händel or small compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jules Massenet and Caesar Franck. Czech works will be represented, for example, by works by Jan Ladislav Dusík, Jakub Jan Ryba and Josef Antonín Seeling. Visitors to the concert can thus look forward to solo singing accompanied by a harp, while the vocal-instrumental parts will be interspersed with solo harp pieces.

Martina Kociánová is a regular guest on many Czech theater stages. Her repertoire is not limited to the genre of opera, but also extends to oratorio, song and musical. The native of Ostrava also collaborates with many Czech chamber ensembles, who could admire her performing arts not only to domestic audiences, but also to listeners in Germany, Austria, Japan and Cyprus.

Kateřina Englichová is, without exaggeration, one of the world's leading harpists. She performs almost all over the world, she has collaborated with orchestras from Philadelphia, Vancouver, San Francisco or Hong Kong, for example, and she regularly collaborates with prominent Czech and foreign performers and conductors.
