Critics:

"...On Wednesday night at Weill Recital Hall, she presented a program, that amply demonstrated her talents and made a case for the harp as a recital instrument." ..."Though Ms. Englichova is slender and thin-limbed, she makes a surprisingly large sound on the harp."..."Ms. Englichova´s sound is enhanced by the vigor and precision of her touch. Indeed, in a solo sonata by the Classical period Czech composer Jan Ladislav Dussek, you might have thought you were hearing a harpsichord."..."fast passage work rippled by with impressive articulateness and shape." ...the concert ended with two Impressionistic "Images" for solo harp by the French harpist Marcel Tournier, who died in 1951. Here again, in her feisty performances Ms. Englichova was intent, it seemed, on disabusing us of the idea that the harp is merely an angelic instrument."

Virtuosic Czech Harpist Gives Dazzling Concert at LACMA: "...Just when you thought the concert would go no further than "lovely", Englichova ushered out the evening´s most exciting works. After the intermission came the brief but potent Suite for Harp of B.Britten. Britten´s work, played masterfully here, introduced modern intrigue, polytonality, almost jazzy syncopations...Post impressionistic fiber from composer C.Salzedo, full of gushing harp cascades, closed the program muscularly."

Josef Woodard, Los Angeles Times

CD Josef Suk, Katerina Englichova:Meditation "...Englichova is a perfect foil in the duos, and she is witty-even sassy-in the jaunty Hindemith Sonata..."

Robert Maxham, Fanfare

CD Review: B.Britten-A Birthday Hansel, Canticle V, Folksong Arangements: "...the singers are blessed in having as their equal partner harpist Katerina Englichova, whose instrument sustains the melodic independence of a keyboard. Englichova superbly serves Britten´s wryly colored compositions."

Lesley Valdes, the Philadelphia Inquirer

Angelo Foletto, Suonare News

"the high point of the evening was Ginastera´s Concerto and its star, the harpist Katerina Englichova. She made light and masterful work of its great technical and expressive demands. Testifying to the precision and evenness of her playing were not only the fast passages, but also and especially the phrases in slow tempi containing sustained notes.. the highlight came in Englichova´s extensive solo at the opening of the third movement."

MF Dnes, November 1998
